adaptive server

Hi I have started having problems with the RDSS2.1
I have got a pop up which says connect to adaptive services anywhere.
And asks for a ID and a Password.
What is this for, also since I have had an update with edge having problems getting pp's have seen the thread regards this and am trying to deal with it.
I got the first download from trackmaster but nothing since the update.

Michael, that should be covered in this FAQ: http://paceandcap.com/forums/showpos...59&postcount=8

Adaptive Server is the database engine component of RDSS. At startup, RDSS connects to its database. If it can't find the database it is looking for (the one which naturally gets set up upon installation) it gets confused and starts asking unexpected questions.

If you changed databases using the Data Mgmt Tool button on the RDSS Desktop, or were trying some of the Example databases (and were trying to switch databases to one of those which you downloaded), or if you mistakenly instructed RDSS (in the Switch Database component of the Data Mgmt Tool) to switch to a file which is NOT a database (e.g. a downloaded TrackMaster PP file which needs to be Converted into a database) then this might happen.

You can fix any of this by reading that FAQ and correcting the [Database] setting in your RDSS Configure file. If you still have problems, please just email me at support@sartinmethodology.com

Regarding the new Microsoft Edge browser, RDSS does not use that (or even know about it) to obtain PPs from TrackMaster - it uses its own Data Centre module to download things from TrackMaster. If you'd like to clarify that problem further, please just contact me!
