foggy's chances?
how will Lost in the Fog do today at Churchill??

Since this is his second race off of an extended layoff I would expect improvement. Now LITF must face older horses. No doubt the horse has talent. On his good days Kelly's Landing has solid credentials to compete here.
I would discount his second race back in the Commonwealth at Keeneland, because Spanish Chestnut makes many front running horses look bad. If I had a quality front running type of horse I would go to great lengths to avoid being in races with Spanish Chestnut. Some may disagree but I believe the presence of Spanish Chestnut in the Kentucky Derby helped Giacomo's chances greatly, especially when many of the win contenders tried to plat catch-up with this horse. To get back to your point this to me is an interesting race. The question that will be answered is LITF the same horse he was last year prior to the Breeder's Cup. |
all or nothing
the sprinter's "gene" is usually on or off and stays that way. Has someting to do with nerve condction to the muscle fibers that is genetically determined: sprinters are born not made.

If LITF is on his game he should make mincemeat out of this field in wire-to-wire fashion.
Personally, I used #6 Pro Prado for my win bet in a handicapping contest. That's more of a value contest play than anything else. Although if LITF is not 100% Pro Prado could take it at 12-1. I'm not a big LITF fan anyway. He faded like a cheap tent when he faced real competetion. I bet against him in the cup. Even Kelly's Landing might beat him (but I suspect Kelly's Landing will beat himself today.) It'll be an interesting race to watch, that's for sure. |
