How to Retrieve ProfitLine & Prime Power

I take it that the PL and BPP will never work for me at all for me because I am using a Mac to access this program via a mirroring software?

Tell me more, why you say that :)

If you don't seem to be downloading those TS Ratings during assembly of a race, perhaps the settings governing them - and governing tote retrieval - on the Configure Tab are still set to 'unchecked'? Or if 'checked', perhaps you are seeing them missing before or after race day, when they are only available on race day? (http://paceandcap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13704)

If any of the forgoing apply, hopefully that solves the problem. If you can download anything from TrackMaster within RDSS, you can download stuff from TwinSpires within RDSS. Otherwise, please tell me more.

Here are the latest Release Notes to RDSS2.2, which are a good idea to read a few times as you get familiar with the software: http://paceandcap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13336 In that same Thread, you will also find links to all previous RDSS Documentation, including the General RDSS Glossary PDF document.

Hi, Ted!

I checked my settings. It was unchecked. Fixed that. Saw the information I wanted with GG's card today, but nothing with previous cards before today -- and that is when I saw your line about the information only being available on the day of the race. It's good. At least I know the feature works, so thank you for helping me.

Can’t Retrieve PL or BPP line

I also am unable to get these lines to display. Under the data configuration the “Get TS Ratings/ Scratches” is checked. The other box for “Get Tote/Scratches” appears but I’m unable to click it. I’m sorry if this has been covered further. I was unable to find any other threads outside of this one.

If I am unable to retrieve the PL and BPP lines, how best should I interpret the data I can see within the RX tab when trying to identify contenders.

Thanks for any help

Hi Mcamps, and welcome!

Just covering all the detail, and perhaps you tried all this but did not describe it in your message -

1. When you check the Get TS Ratings box, you have to Save then restart RDSS for it to take effect.

2. When you have done that, it is only applicable for TODAY's races. Not races you downloaded yesterday, or TOMORROW's races you downloaded today. Just today's races. Only what you can see on TwinSpires TODAY - that's where RDSS gets the data, from an internal browser accessing the TwinSpires site right now and TS does not make those figs available for he past or future. As a test, click on the TwinSpires button on he RDSS Desktop. Navigate to today's track and race you are interested in. If YOU can see it there, so can RDSS. If you can't, neither can RDSS.

3. If you downloaded races for TODAY before you enabled the 'Get TS Ratings' setting, when you assemble them on the Card Summary Screen (by clicking on a race to open it) - those ratings will not appear. When you open them again TODAY (i.e. while TODAY's ratings ares till available from TS) RDSS will reach out to fetch them and they will appear.

4. The other box you mentioned 'Get Tote/Scratches' is currently unavailable, and thus greyed-out. it will soon be available again in a future update.

I hope that clarifies things, but if not, please reach out again!

Ted

(P.S. - I am on vacation for another week and change, checking email a bit less frequently than normal. I'll still do my best to support you. Perhaps others as well ...)

Thanks Ted, I’ll try tomorrow with Keeneland.

I can say this, even without having those available the software has been incredibly useful and has already saved me so much time.

Thanks Ted that worked perfectly.

Also just hit pick three and a beautiful 19/1 win bet on race 8 at Keeneland.

I’ll go back and look through all the instructional videos because I’m still a bit confused as to how to prioritize the certain factors, but this software is awesome.

Enjoy your vacation man
