Best meet in racing to open Wednesday

Evangeline Downs (Home of the Biggest Fields) opens it's meet tomorrow night.

Big fields
favs that do NOT dominate
Cajun chicanery:eek:

For those who say Saratoga/Del Mar well you haven't truly lived til you experience a few 14 horse 7f races for 5 claimers that haven't won a race in a year! If that doesn't get your juices flowing check your pulse to see if you are alive man. lol

Cajuns do it better! ;)

Richie,

I have youbet and they don't have it listed.
I certainly don't want you to have all the fun.
How can I join the party?

Spring is finally here. I pulled the ham hocks for the red beans and rice out of the freezer last night and just pulled the card this morning. Ten races on dirt with only three maidens. I'm trying real hard to focus on RDSS, but I believe I'll have to dust off Validator for this one.

'Ils sont partis!"

If you guys ever play from online and use the chat room, just drop a note on the board and I will try to join in when I can.

I mostly play higher class tracks now, looking for price horses in big fields, however, I grew up playing small tracks Charles Town and Shenandoah Downs, so I can probably adapt. :)

TVG is covering races 1, 2 and 5-10 on Wednesday night and has Evangeline listed for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, but they don't list which races they are showing yet.

Evangeline doesn't run on Sunday's.

Hard to say about the bit of Cajun. I come from a long line of people who didn't talk much about where they came from. My mother got into geneology a few years back and ran into a bunch of dead ends on my father's side of the family a few generations back.

Evangeline does get the juices flowing though. For a small time track, it represents the starting point for such names as Delahoussaye. Desormeaux, Guidry, Bourque, Lanarie, LeBlanc, Sellers and Albarado. John Henry won his 1st big 2yo stakes there too.

"Ils Sont Partis"
