Premier Turf Club - An Introduction

My name is Ian Meyers and I am the CEO of Premier Turf Club, a Fargo, North Dakota based ADW. Lest the admin pull this post, please give me the chance to say up front that we would be happy to advertise on your site. I'm not looking for something for nothing. Please e-mail me at ian@premierturfclub.net with your rates and we will pay you immediately.

In hopes that I can have the opportunity to put up this one post before advertising, a short introduction (I promise I will keep in short).

1)To dispel a few myths, we are 100% legal, 100% U.S, 100% pari-mutuel. The Philippine software company that has been referenced is simply the technology shop we have a JV with in Manila. Out monies are held at Wachovia Bank in Jacksonville, Florida and State Bank & Trust in Fargo. I have attached our pari-mutuel license if anyone is interested.

2) We are a "cash rewards" shop By Players - For Players. I have been betting horses for more than 30 years using both speed figures and Sartin velocity numbers. Feel free to inquire with Ken Massa or anyone else on the HTR board about me. I started with Ken in 1996 and have introduced many players to HTR. I am a current subscriber.

3)We feel we are developing the number one site for hard-core horseplayers. We've got features in our software that nobody else has and within the next 60 days will be introducing dutching, parlays and conditional betting queues.

The site can be found at www.premierturfclub.com. That's all I'll say for now, I don't want to piss off the Administrator right out of the box.

Sincerely,
Ian Meyers
Premier Turf Club

I for one will not be signing up with a company that sees fit to outsource their IT work overseas. After having both my wife's and my credit cards tapped for thousands of dollars of fraudulant charges from CC numbers that were taken overseas. My American dollars are hard earned. I will invest them with a company that sees fit to stimulate the American Economy not the Economies of India, Vietnam, Phillipines, et all... Sorry for my rant.

I am sorry about your stolen credit cards, but I honestly don't understand what that has to do with choosing whether to sign up or not.

The Manilla, shop having about 5 years experience in writing pari-mutuel software was far and away the best (and most economical) choice. We interviewed US tech shops. None of them had even the faintest understanding of horse-racing. I would have spent six months teaching them the basics at $150+ per hour. No thanks.

But this is America, and I respect your right to your opinion.

Well the companies were outsourcing their IT operations to India. The credit cards were taken in India and charges were made in India and the UK.. Therefore if you are outsorucing your operations to the Phillipines than I would recommend extreme Caution to all here. As far as not being able to find a US company I'm really sorry but I don't buy it. It is the standard line of all CEO's who are strip-mining the American economy to save a few bucks. Now I recommend we let this conversation drop otherwise we will be responding to each others emails FOREVER.... Good luck with your venture.

jms62,

I am the President of a software company that sells a product to credit card company for collections. My firm deals with companies worldwide.

I know this is bad news, however, I can assure you that there is not a single major US credit card issuer that is not using facilities in either India, Philippines, Jamaica, St. Lucia, or some former eastern-Bloc country. Even my 6 year-old's favorite bank, Bank of America, and my former employer, sends work overseas. In fact, if you are a contractor, many of those same banks demand that you use overseas contractors as part of your work for them.

Unfortunately, there isn't much completely "on-shore" companies in financial services anymore.
