Modern RDSS/KGEN user
 

I am really enjoying RDSS's ability to send RAC files over to
my favorite Sartin program - KGEN

I have been doing very well. I thank Ted for this great feature

If I can I'd like to show you what all these modern tools are able to
do

This demo is based on me using Dos Box to run KGEN. Dos Box makes KGEN
run in its proper mode as it was made to run in Dos
I use windows xp pro but the dos box seems to work ok in vista
But you will need to read some of the tutorials on the dos box web site

I made these screens in the next few post. I hope the are clear as to what I do but really I love the modern way to save races I have developed

My method is to note the top 3 on these 6 screens
SP Raw
EP Raw
SP Adjust 1
EP Adjust 1
SP Adjust 2
EP Adjust 2

Lets get started

Line from RDSS
 

First I select my lines using RDSS I use the original raw data
This screen shows the original lines and the export button location

Export Data
 

This is the export data box

Dosbox
 

Now I open Dos Box and load KGEN
I select option 2 Load race from disk
and type the race data that RDSS set up
In this case CT010102

To get Dos Box and to set that up
go to Dos Box

Screens
 

Now that I am into KGEN in Dos Box
I check out my screens Here is the Energy Generator

I have found its easy to review screens in screen captures
rather than toggle through the program
with Dos Box if you push Control + F5 it automaticly make a screen shot
It puts this screen shot in to its own capture folder

As I go to the 6 other screens I review I make screen captures

when I'm done I close up KGEN and open the capture folder

The race
 

Now I have my race saved
to make decisions and to later go back and review I open the
race folder I select all the screens then I go to file then I click
Preview

The screens will open in the viewer I can hit Etner and review each
screen

The 9 won this race and paid $16.00

oh I wanted to show the 7 screens in annimation
It works on my end but here its only showing the engen screen
