Good work guys on a nice card! I got lucky and caught that tandem finish on the #2 in the 7th. That was the good. The bad is I ****ed up a HUGE pick 3 by betting off the wrong sheet of paper like a jerk off man. I can't believe what the **** I did. Racing is good right now with plenty of FULL fields available by multi tracking. Here are my bets so far today/tonight. The results are good so far (still looking at Mnr,Cby,Ind,Penn,Hol) but if you notice (Fwiw) I am playing larger field races of at LEAST 7 runners. Whether right or wrong that has been my game plan for over 2 weeks now. NO maidens NO races with less than 7 betting entries NO races where there is not at LEAST one clearly Early POSITIONALLY running horse at TODAY'S distance structure (surface difference is ok right now) Knock em dead :) 6/13: 1) Belmont Race 7: 13 - 10/1 2 - 17/1 - Win $39.80 2) Belmont Race 8: 8 - 19/1 3 - 4/1 3) Penn Race 3: 3 - 20/1 - Win $51.00 8 - 7/2 4) Belmont Race 9: 11 - 10/1 5 - 7/2 5) Woodbine Race 6: 1 - 5/1 - Win $12.10 2 - 20/1 6) Woodbine Race 8: 3 - 6/1 10 - 5/1 7) Monmouth Race 6: 2 - 5/1 6 - 10/1 |

Mike,
Here are the BL/BL pages that I used to bet from. I just picked the top two regardless of the odds |

When you say match up I don't really know how to do the match up. I just look for the pace setter and see who can win or get close to the finish line in a race with those or better fractions. I am becoming a firm believer that horses run in their comfort zone. If they can run a better time to the second call they don't seem too if they don't have to. For what its worth: The moment I saw the head on shot of the start of the Belmont and Big Brown was jerking his head around fighting the jockey I knew in my heart that he was a loser. He is used to being on the outside with lots of room around him and I felt that he felt trapped in a tight spot and was using up his energy in tension and pressure to try to get out of his predicament. A relaxed horse can do wonders. Watch John Henry's races and you can see a horse that doesn't mind mixing it up with the other horses. Big Brown I think was intimidated being in close quarters Froggy |
Mike,
As a post script I'd like to add that usually I put in every horse in the race before I make any eliminations. I use Preceptor for selection of one of the last three usable pace lines not the speed rating or class rating like other folks. I find that the program class ratings especially in turf and maiden races to be deceptive. I like to do my own and that way I can't blame any one else if I'm wrong. After eliminating those that can't run with the projected second call time to a max of 4 tenths slower, I eliminate all balance numbers over 8 and all single digit BL scores. Froggy |
Froogy: Good to see it - keep it going.
