Track profile

Everybody seems to do track profiles that outline energy requirements of winners. How do you get what the energy was of the race? Do you just record energy used based on paceline used? Do you download something from Track master? Do you figure it by hand?

dcox,

You get it from the results charts.
Enter the pace of the race and the winners beaten lengths at the first two calls and record the med and total energy.

Each one of the Sartin Programs seem to use a different formula in computing beaten lengths so the energy figures will be slightly different depending on which program you are using.

If what you have is RDSS then record right from the Energy panel, the total and med energy of the winner by distance and basic class level and you will have a good working model to start from.

You will find that after about 10 or so races a pattern will start to loom up from the page. That will keep you out of trouble and maybe help you make some profitable decisions.

Bob Cochran has some excellent posts here about building models.

Good luck,

Froggy

I have an Excel sheet that you can input the chart info into, but cannot upload it
