Printing
Hi Jeff,
When the software is in a window (as opposed to full screen), you can cut and paste the DOS screen into a text or Word document, then print that document. This is what I do with Val and Spec screens, rather than printing them to an older DOS printer. You should be able to left-click, hold and drag to create a rectangle which is automatically copied into the WIndows clipboard. Then switch to a Notepad or a Word file and paste the clipboard into the file (Ctrl-V, or right-click, then Paste). Print from the file, save it or abandon it. Should work with all DOS applications (in a window). Good luck. regards, Ted |
I use Spec with XP and I'm able to print from the program. Guy now installs a windows printer so you might want to get an update if you are uisng Spec.
Another way of doing your screen capture would be ALT-PrntScrn and then just paste that into a Paint document or paste it anywhere you want and print it from there. Very cumbersome in either case. This program needed to be converted to a current Windows version years ago. Just the ability to move the information from one area of Windows to another would make record keeping a thousand times easier. Charlie |
Thanks guys for the info Shoeless
