the 4:5 shot, #3, wiped them out in his debut last out but it was a multiple move race. He won't get that today and is very vulnerable. Either the 2 or the 5 can beat him.

I really like the 6's last race. RUDY was the trainer then and she's 1st time Contessa today, so that might be a bit of a concern.

Hopefully, one of the speeds (2 or 3) doesn't last for 2nd and beat me out of the exacta.

That went smashingly:

they scratched the 3, one of the 2 speeds, with 2 minutes or so to post and I couldn't get through to TS to cancel my bet. Of course, the 4 became LONE SPEED and wire the field.

Thought the 2 could be competitive for a price but I'd need to have gone real deep to get this one.

MTH R3:

the 5 is just too fast early for these. I really like the 7's race two back but the 5 / 7 exacta is only paying $12 and if the 7 tries to run with (or bid at, at a key point) the 5 she might not even get 2nd. If the jock of the 7 realizes that the 5 is the better horse and rides for 2nd, it'll work.

5 was under no pressure for the lead from any of the other runners and the jock just ran her to the ground -- she effectively collapsed the race on her own.
