Saturday June 4th - Extremes
Ok here are 2 races running Saturday that have very different "looks".
1) Delaware Race 9 - a 6f dash with multiple "E" runners 2) Indiana Downs Race 4 - an 8f Race with an apparent Lone "E" who likes to stop on his own. Further analysis required! Spreading the "looks" both Friday and today to get you familiar with these different layouts, some may really fit your individual "Mind's Eye" and also put some cash in your wallets! :D Good matching to ALL! Saturday's races
Delaware:
The FPLR in this race belongs to the 5 and the 7. The 2,3,5,6,9, and 10 are all E, EP, or P and I have tossed all of them. To be honest, I am not totally taken with sustained horses. The key to the race for me is the FPLR tandem. The 5 and 7 cut a very fast time on the poly at PID. The 7, a sustained horse ran much better in the tandem and showed a race at TAM that wasn't to bad against a sub 22 1st quarter. Both of these races are from the 5 position at the first quarter which he should be able to maintain to today. My choice is the 7. Indiana: The hat helper here is a good reminder about how fast this track is. There are several horses here off a tandem in their last race which went 23.7 at the first call. 1: Poor in tandem. Needs to press a 24.2. Out. 2: Out off tandem. 3: S from the 6th position. Runs in the 6,6,8,8 position. Too far back. Out. 4: Slow 5: sprint to route. FPLR. Ran from 5th position. With a littel voodoo on some of the older slower lines, the horse is a contender. 6: E and he stops. Out. 7: Slow 8: S from the 4th position twice at Turfway against a 24.8 and 25 first call. Turfway is a much slower track. Contender. This race comes down to the 5 and the 8. Even with a little voodoo on the 5, I don't think he is a router. My choice is the 8. Enjoy, Tim |
Delaware:
Scratch 1 and 2 I labeled the 5, 6 and 9 as early and I don’t like any of those three to go all the way. I will look OTE, starting 4th position or so against a 22.1 or 22.2 1C… #3 – wins are from 1st and 3rd position. I don’t get a good feeling going deep for a power line on this one…OUT #4 – Good races from 4th position but against slower 1C’s…OUT #7- Strong positional / lengths move 1C-2C-SC against FPLR. Has won from 1st, 2nd and 3rd position at 1C and actually was 4th at the 2C before winning in line 2…IN #8- Has won from 1st and 4th position against slower pace…OUT #10 – Has won from 2nd position and finished close from 3rd position. Can handle a strong pace but probably a little too close early today…OUT #7 is the only one who can do well against today’s pace and be in its positional comfort zone. I’ll take the 7. Indiana: The 6 is the lone early who stops on his own…Checking the others… #1 Ran okay in the tandem, but its win was against 48.2 114.1…OUT #2 Beaten badly in tandem and only one good finish listed in PP’s...OUT #3 Tandem best-finisher runs best from 6th and 8th position…IN #4 SLOW…OUT #5 Sprint to route entrant that’s hard for me to like…OUT #7 No close finishes in a long time…OUT #8 Probably sits 2nd or very close to the leader early. I’m down to the 3 and the 8. The 8 will definitely be ahead early but I will take the 3 to run by in the stretch and win.. |
