Sunday at the Spa, but with a little extra news

I have been posting here for all to see the Newpace stuff directly as I get it from the program, I do not do any calculating or changing on my part, I think we all can agree with this, no, of course we can.

But this morning on the Skype account I have I get a message from someone who say I am , well let me post the remarks here and let you see them..

[11:21:20 AM] *** Private correspondence deleted.
There is more but that statement says it all, and I do not need to get into this deeply, but I am only doing my part here posting Saratoga for those who want it, and then evaluating at the end of the day, not comparing it to RDSS2.0, as some people are, which I am sure RDSS would out perform it, that has been proven a few times already , but no, I stayed away from that and only posted what I got and had , nothing more .

Well 1 more statement might give you the vehemence ( new word of the day), of the message.

But even this does not make me have a bad day, I am in Saratoga working in the Backstretch , enjoying myself tremendously , trying to learn RDSS.2 by doing things better and more slowly this time, and thou still stubbornly trying to beat the Spa, this with a paying job I will have a positive ROI this meet, as I may only wager a little here there, as I find very little to bet on recently here at the Spa, but have had a Jewel or 2 that has paid for a dinner at Auggie's...

Please enjoy the day and hopefully the weather will hold off till late afternoon, or evening.

I am happy here at RDSS and very privileged that TED would trust me to help BETA test EL.20 , thank you Ted and I hope this will help, and anything else , you know you just have to ask.

Patrick,

So, let's see if I can get this right...

You contact me for help: Why can't I win?

I give you over an hour of my time - on top of the many hours I have given you in the past - trying to help you understand what you need to do.

I try to coach you, and your response is to post our private conversations publicly?

I was not trying to be nasty. I have seen this before. Winning players simply find a way to win. You find a way to lose. I tried to offer you ideas for changing that. Remember, you asked me to do that.

*** portion of a private conversation removed

You have set the bar very low here, Patrick.

I watch you post your picks on the Skype group. Other people, using the same tools, post the same races. They win, you lose. Even here. You are getting around 55% winners or so in 4+ horses per race. If NewPace was really that bad, how do you explain the fact that others on this same board (including Mike A, who is apparently not a big fan of mine) are posting far better results?

I will make it simple for you. Mr. Kane, please do not attempt to contact me for help ever again.

Patrick,

You may have differences of opinion with Dave, but repeating private correspondence in public without permission is not good etiquette, certainly not at this website, and really not anywhere else. I took the liberty of removing that private correspondence from your initial post. In the future, please ask the correspondent for permission before doing that.

(I myself was, I thought innocently, but none-the-less guilty recently of publicly citing stats provided in private correspondence, so let's neither of us do that again without permission, OK?)

Patrick,

I was preparing a response for you offline and by the time that I've finished it, I see that you've already gotten some responses. In particular, a response from Dave Schwartz, whom i only know from seeing his posts, I've never exchanged a word with him.

But, I'm going to toss out what I've written since Dave spoke for himself. This was very bad form and speaking just for myself, it's none of my business to know what went on between the two of you. All I needed to see was what you were getting out of the program.

Dave, what happened here has no bearing on my own thoughts re your program, it's just that I'm just looking to see what others are doing with it. I'm perhaps the most extreme of spot players around here, I look for reasons to pass races so if I'm going to adopt any new approach, I look for the potential value. I wish you luck in your endeavors and perhaps one day will be one of your paying customers.

But I will not base my decision on just one person's success or failure.

Yes I am sorry for this but, the spur of the moment anger and his, well, let me stop and say sorry it will never happen again, sorry.

Getting back to business

I'm probably not going to wager as i have a self-imposed rule about off tracks, but the Honorable Miss is a temptation today.

My models are all based on dry tracks, but Tar Heel Mom looks to be the winner based on its ranking in the top two predictors at 6 furlongs, EP and FW.

I see that New Pace appears to agree if I'm reading it correctly. I do ask if the pace lines are auto-generated by RDSS or the New Pace module - if at all. If it's the latter, it would weigh heavily in my purchase decision. Not that I'll be likely to stop selecting my own lines, but it would be an interesting exercise to compare.

But the odds on the horse which has won 5 of 9 in the mud are likely to be much less than the morning line, combine that with my off-track stance and most likely I'll just be watching.
