Isn't each race a summary of the various pace pressure expressed THAT RACE, THAT DAY.? I agree that historical data gives one a GENERAL idea of a projection, but I wouldn't get married to that idea

Sartin was quoted often to say, if the win odds are 9/2 or better, a place bet is a good move. I would DOUBLE the wager to place myself in that situation.

I seem to recall that Howard Sartin suggested repeatedly NOT to use a colts' KD line in evaluation of races beyond Louisville as it was too much of an outlier. Anyone else recall that??
