For those wondering about "The Monkey" he's fine. Through he was not feeling well there for awhile. Gave him a break than had to re-train him, but the cost of his banana fee / consulting service is well worth his contribution. Sometimes we all get bored and need a change of pace
Yesterday the Monkey had the winner of the 7th @ Tam for $24.60 for the contest. Unlike the contest which is restricted to $2 W & P it doesn't allow for profit on other bets. I always try to design my bet based on my handicapping. I never ever make Place bets and rather put that money to use in DD etc. for better use of my capital and return.
Today I played the 8th & 9th at Tam because I thought they would be put up for the contest. I hit the 8th which paid $ 21.20 . It keyed a $50 EX and a nice DD for $70.40. I got the 21.20 winner exactly the same as the 9th winner that only paid $4.40.
