Had time to do a survey of the last 100 races I capped to see how the 4 # approach faired. The minimum field size was 8 the tracks covered were MTH,DEL,PIM, Parx. The survey covered all classes from MDN to G1 on both dirt and turf. Here are the results

So 81 winners had all 4 # and 7 more had 3 #s or 88% of all winners had at least 3 #s. An additional 6 winners were Richie LSP plays. Only 6 winners had 2#s or less. So the 4 factor approach is alive and well.
