Hello folks! At long last here is the RDSS update which works with the NEW TrackMaster Store and your OWN TrackMaster account. Along with a link to download the software, a tutorial video, some explanations of new things and a comparison chart of data products and prices – New vs Previous.

New Concepts – RDSS TrackMaster Data Products & Pricing

In the Old Product line-up (since RDSS inception) for each of the PP Only and PP+Results (Bundle) lines - we had a) single card Pay as you go, or b) recurring monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual plans for 20 cards/month. If you used MORE than your monthly cards purchased, you automatically were charged for overages at a discounted Overage price. If you used LESS, you lost the remaining unused cards when your next month rebilled. If you had a monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual Unlimited product subscription – your could download unlimited files and your data subscription renewed periodically.

In the New Product line-up, recurring Unlimited data subscriptions remain unchanged. Single card Pay as you go and recurring periodic subscriptions go away – replaced by the idea of Card Packs. These data subscriptions do not renew (auto-bill periodically) they never expire, count down as they get used up, and can be ‘refilled’ by simply purchasing new Card Packs when you need more uses (all from within RDSS). The downside is – no more discounted Overages. If you use up the 20 Card pack you bought (e.g. replacing your previous 20 cards/30 days plan), you are prompted buy more, and it’s simple to do from within RDSS. The upside is – if you use LESS than your 20 cards monthly subscription – you don’t lose the unused cards because there is no rebilling and the Card Packs never expire.

There are no more Pay as you go single card downloads, automatically billed each time. Instead – you can now buy minimal Card Packs (5 cards, 10 cards which never expire), then buy more when you need them. As usual, the more bulk you buy, the cheaper each download is.

There have been NO price changes. Please see the following Chart comparing Previous to New RDSS data product plans and pricing. Products that didn’t exist before (e.g. 5 and 10 card packs) and products that no longer exist (single card Pay-go) are marked as XX.



Steps to Activate your new TrackMaster Account and get Data.

• Either use the links in the RDSS Registration Screen or use the links below to access your TrackMaster account in their NEW Store. Login with your usual TrackMaster User ID and Password (the one you use inside RDSS).

• Per the video – make a purchase of a data product: 5, 10, 20, 60 etc Card Packs, or Unlimited. Add to your Cart then checkout and pay - and, the first time, provide your credit card number.
  
  
• In RDSS, refresh your uses available in the Registration Screen with the Update Registration Info Button, or the Data Centre by clicking on Display Available Cards.
  
  
• Use The RDSS Data Centre normally to download your cards, until you run out of Remaining Downloads and need to buy more. Then, use the TrackMaster links in the Registration Screen to buy more uses, per #2 above.

Bugs still present!

1. When using the PP & Results Bundle data plan – Results for races appearing on the Entries Screen often do not appear correctly during the current day’s races. This is a bug since some time. It has been difficult to fix but I did not want to delay further in getting this update out. Previous day’s Results, or Results first downloaded after all races are complete appear correctly. All data exported to Models appears correct. Workaround – do not display Race Results on the Entries Screen until the card is complete. I will have this fixed in the next update! If you don’t use results – i.e. PPs Only – this Bug does not affect you.

Previous TrackMaster Data payments made to Ted

• If you have an Unlimited Data Subscription – you should find it set up for you at the correct Expiry/Renewal Date. Please provide your credit card # to ensure proper rebilling.
  
  
• If you paid for October for your recurring 20 card/30 days, whenever you start using this new version (i.e. late in October), please just start off fresh and purchase new Cardf Packs (5, 10, 20, 60, etc) uses when you first login, as described above and in the Tutorial Video. If you have some remaining unused uses in October when you set up your new account, please purchase a new Card Pack of uses quantity you prefer then let me know how many you had left unused that you had prepaid me for. I will have these added to one of your Card Packs so you will not miss anything you paid for.
  
  
• If you were paying by Pay-go style one card at a time – similarly, please purchase your preferred quantity of the new Card Packs, then pay me for your usage up to that point in the old system. You can use the old calculation for Overages up until you start with the New Product/pricing subscriptions.
  
  
• If you have not paid for Unlimited or recurring 20 card/30 days etc, or Pay-go users - feel free to use the same PayPal data Payment link for this: https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/LXY4G8VNGFGAQ
  
  
• If you have any questions about getting your paid-for uses reflected correctly on your account – please write me and I will get TrackMaster to reflect the numbers correctly.

Important Note about the OLD TrackMaster Store, and your OLD account!

1. Since May, RDSS users have not been billed by TrackMaster for ANY data they have downloaded! This is a gracious way of TrackMaster working with me, giving me time to make all these changes. In August, September and October – RDSS uses paid me (or will pay) for their data used (honours system, self-assessed). Effective November 3, the old TrackMaster site will no longer deliver ANY data to RDSS. Previous versions of RDSS will no longer work to get data from TrackMaster. You have to update to this new version!

2. For any of you who have been using the complimentary TrackMaster account rdssbundle– please switch from using this account to your OWN accountwhen you begin using this new version of RDSS. This complimentary account will also be decommissioned on November 3.

I have worked hard to get this set up, TrackMaster programmers and personnel have worked hard as well – and I thank them for their patience and persistence. Most of all – I thank all of you for bearing with me this year as we have worked toward getting this launched and on a new footing for the 21st century (finally) ��.
