As you can see I'd have made more money buy betting the top choice only to win.
By the way, this is based on betting 50%/50% on each of the top choices regardless of odds.
Even though the second choice is a break even proposition financially, it adds a lot to one's confidence and jacks up the win percentage. There's a lot to be said for the positive aspects of that.
Note, I won 48% of the races for this 21 race cycle. For thoroughbred horse race betting we like to see at least 80% confidence. We've got it. This method is okay.
