I'm not one who normally likes to extract from routes, but the horse was well placed at the 6F portion of its routes and did have the best LPR in a field with several earlies. Also the top 3 BL scores were within .8 of each other, so it seemed like it was worth the other half of the wager.
Had I not had to make an appointment, I might have second guessed myself staring at the TV screen.
