Folks use general purpose screen capture utilities such as ScreenHunter (free) or Snagit (my favourite). Google either and you're off!
Once you capture portions of your screen to a GIF format file, just use the Attach tool on the message posting editor to attach your files, either all at once at the bottom of your post, or interspersed in your message (like this one).
