You know Rich, “could have should have” aside I talked myself out of betting the #5 horse. I had written the #5 and the #1 in my program for bets but changed my mind. I was thinking the #5 was going to run early and it was not going to get the lead like it did in its last race (in which it folded) and because of battling other earlies in the race the #1 horse was my best pick. I especially felt good about the #1 horse since it was being backed up by a light version of the BI factor.

Young or lightly raced horses, especially when coming from maiden wins, have not necessarily fully established their running style, ala #5 who came from off the pace in this race versus its last race were it went for the lead big time. In addition, many times the Jockeys will force the horse to run against its normal running style.

Generally speaking I feel good about my ESP designations and my power line selection but can easily fall short when it is decision time. Sometimes I am right on, especially if I have gone over and over the race but if I am capping a full card I tend to lean on the software for help. Obviously I need much more practice and learning as to full MU usage.

Thanks,
Robert
