I'm looking at the 3 horse in today's eighth at Aqueduct. Three races back, the horse does a wire job with an ever-increasing margin over the second horse.

Yet he's assigned an "SP" rating for that race.

The horse gets the same designation two races back where it's 4-5 lengths behind for each call except the finish.

Fortunately there's a manual override feature, so it's no big deal. I'm just curious.
