A quick look at the last week at Pimlico shows only 1 horse coming from as far back as 4th at the half mile pole to win sprints - 18 races

Routes - 7 races - 3rd or better at 6 furlong mark.

Turf sprints appear to run pretty early and route winners are no worse than 2nd in stretch call and 4th at 3/4 mark.

All in all it appears that nothing beyond a close presser has won in the last week.
