I saw this post today. I kind of thought, what would I do today?
My pace line and contender selection methods are a little different.
Things I used to do I no longer do,
I also noticed the race/lines chosen were never reviewed. I no longer
had the RDSS file, so I hand entered my revised line/contenders into thormation
Here are my lines/ contenders, the way I pick them today in 2018
PRX Race 6 Oct 11 2008
CL7500 N3-L
Horse 1 Line 1 + race Line 2 is also a + race from MTH at 6 furlongs But its a maiden win
it's closer to today's distance of 7 furlongs. Yet this is not a N2L race. I will use line 1.I trust thromations adjustments.
Horse 2 Lines 1 and 2 are zero lines at today's condition and distance.
I have no excuses to go to line 4 Line 3 is out No line
Horse 3 No recent plus pacelines
Horse 4 Line 3 is a plus paceline at todays distance and surface
Line 1 and 2 are at the route distance
Horse 5 No lines
Horse 6 Line 1 is a + plus paceline at today's distance, class, and surface
Horse 7 No recent + pacelines Line 1 is a (+)
but at 1 mile Doc would extract here
Horse 8 Off 223 days My notes above say it has the best APV and CR
But the fact it was claimed for 10,000 and never ran since, and now it drops
I say not for the win. I will rate of line 1
Horse 9 Line 1 is a + pace line
Horse 10 No line
The 7 and 8 were scratched
This leaves me with the 1, 4, 6 and 9
Their lines are entered into thoromation
Here is the energy generator. All horses are other then early
The 9 has a big advantage on total energy, So the 2 adjustment is used
The first preplay ( variegate) screen is the EXDC
1 and 9 are the top 2
The second (opposite ) screen is the SP
1 and 4 win the top two
Now Thromation
as usually happens when using the 2 adjust the horses finish very closely
but here the 1 wins by a nostril
How does it look to you, The varigate and thromation say 1 9.
The 4 is the oppisite counter horse
I will post the results in the next post
