I only ever used Tamedos on WinXP, but I downloaded the Win98 you mention (tame441.exe) and installed it on an old Win98 computer. The install routine extracted the files from the download EXE, but I don't believe actually installed them. TAME-MON.EXE is the program that needs to be loaded up with each DOS session (under Win98), but running that program in a DOS session by itself just displayed a message and hung there. Same with running tame /install. I believe you should see a message on the title bar of DOS windows indicating Tame, so if you don't, I suspect it is not running.

I read a bunch of the docs on the website, but they didn't help me get Tame running on Win98 so far. I'll keep trying.

Not to fob you off, but I'd send a note to support@tamedos.com asking what to do under Win98.

Tame4.5 or Tame5.0 run well under WinXP. I don't know if Win98 benefits more than WinXP. Let's get it running on Win98 first...
