Hey there, I searched the forum and looked in this thread, but I can't seem to find a basic description of the DTV. I know it is Daily Track Variant, but not sure what the numbers mean.

Does a negative number mean it was a very fast track?
Does a lower number in DTV mean the track was faster than when there is a larger number?
What is a "normal" track DTV? How do I find out what is the average number for my track?

Using Synthesis Manual Entry, I know 16-18 was a normal track using the DRF's variant. This was pretty simple to understand. Going down, every 2 points lower the DTV was, the race was adjusted 1 "length/tick" approximately as faster. Once again, this was very easy to understand and visualize. I am still trying to understand the RDSS 2, which I love btw, but I need to understand it better to really understand what the horses did on what kind of track. Any help on the DTV is appreciated, Thanks, Dan
