Synergism - The Classic Handicapping Tool - The Best of The Best

Synergism was authored by Bob Purdy and was and still is one of the most formidable handicapping programs ever written.
Synergism has evolved into it's sixth revision, which requires an expensive data file subscription ftom HDW. However, the software is given free.

The earliest version (maual input) was very effective and had an auto variant feature incorporated into it which made things quite simple.
Some of the Sartin instructors had successfully used this software to achieve a profit. Dick Schmidt has always praised Bob Purdys work.
Elliot Sidewater was the consumate expert using Synergism 2 and
has written and shared his method with those that chose to use it.
Elliot still posts on the other Sartin group.

Some of us on this board are still using versions 2, 3. and 4.
The latter 2 versions require updated par times.
Suffice to say and in my humble opinion, RDSS with it's equalized and adjusted times would be complimented and enhanced 10 fold by the addition of a synergism file conversion feature. It has been promised but never given.

Synergism 3 & 4, would be my preference but Synergism 2 should be included as well.
These 2 versions enable me to project pace. The dream time feature that Jeff (Shoeless) had written about was all important to me and actually won me a contest with a $50.00 plus horse.

Not withstanding, I believe the importance of this software has been negated and swept under the carpet in favor of Energy and KGEN.
It has been promised for years but never came to fruition.

There are still those that use these programs and in my opinion as well as a few others, Synergism will run circles around Energy and KGEN.

Although the conversion to Energy and Kgen are nice features, I personally am not overly impressed by them and have not had or seen results produced by others that I would consider to be impressive.
