Thanks for the heads up on the whobets website, raceman5, Bill. Finally, a source of free PPs. I like the fact one can get PPs farther in advance than other sources. The Equibase link is useful too, as it gives links to all kinds of stats on the horses in the field, including jockeys, etc. This will also help in developing PARS for each track and practicing analyses.

I've been reading my newly acquired copy of Quirin's The Handicapper's Condition Book and making copious notes. One sentence mentioned the Breeder's Cup as replacing the Triple Crown and I went walkabout on Google. Now have August and September races in my cell phone calendar and am going to try to build PARS for the tracks that will be hosting those races. Aug 25th will have five races and Sept 29th has eight. Other Saturdays have 2-4 and there are some races on other days of the week. Looks like most Saturdays those races are only occurring at two tracks.

Thanks, Ted, for clarifying the two forums. When I posted about some selections last weekend, I was unaware of those distinctions. And I didn't post PPs because, not yet being an RDSS user, I assumed most viewers already had superior software and couldn't use the data file I had acquired for my PPs. Now I can just either link to the pertinent free PP or save and upload it, using the whobet site.

If anyone is interested, I'm looking at the Saturday (8/04) race cards for Arlington Park, Del Mar, and Saratoga. I would include Churchill Downs but they are currently on hiatus.

Now off to work. Happy handicapping, everyone
