Al, I moved this post to a new Topic since the second part of your post was unrelated to the current RDSS 'non-responsive' issue (just to keep that topic clean, since so many people are searching there for the fix). But glad to hear you resolved the 'non-responsive' issue.
When you try to Download a card in the Data Centre (e.g. your DMR 7/25 card) there is always some kind of Progress message about what happened: success, failure, and if failure some kind of note to help you - and me - resolve the problem. Could you please tell me what message(s) you got: e.g. 'already downloaded', 'not connected to internet', 'wrong UID/PWD', etc. I don't know of many (any?) circumstances when you would ask to download a card for a date, hit the Perform Selected Tasks button and the software would just sit there mute.
Lots of people are working DMR this weekend. Lets follow up by email: tell me more. If we need to connect computers, no problem.
