Does a negative number mean it was a very fast track? -10 would be very fast -2 not so much
Does a lower number in DTV mean the track was faster than when there is a larger number? yes
What is a "normal" track DTV? How do I find out what is the average number for my track? 0 means track normal

I’m not a rdss user, but they come up in Val or Spec.
I think they are the same as the in pdf trackmaster file . Say –3 fast= 3 tenths or 1.5 lengths fast.
For example 0 even track.,10 .slow 5 lengths, now say –7 fast 3.5 lengths or 7 tenths fast. This is how I have used them
I have reverse engineered these variants , and think they are pretty good, mind you this is a final time variant, made from par times.
Dan, I do not know what all goes into the making of these numbers, but they much better than the DRF's variant
I’d just be wary of using lines that are to extreme. Say like +19 on a off track
