To be fair, the winner #7 did not look like a world beater, though it did finish in the top half of its last and 3rd back lines (bold finish positions), and made modest gains in both position (blue underline) and beaten lengths (red underline.

You had to decide if those moves indicated fitness with a return to Turf today, if the good TS, TE, BL, VDC relative to the rest were actually 'real' - then hold your nose and make a modest wager given the LONG odds.

I'll let Barb C and Charlie opine further on this one (I dismissed it myself and lost, though otherwise had a very good day!)
