Objective measure of advantage

As I mentioned above, I've been working on a number, (actually I'm comparing 4 different ways) to objectively measure the advantage my top two selections over my other contenders. In the 5th race at Laurel today (8/20) my two (4-6) had the largest 'advantage number'(s) I've seen since I started working on it. The 4 won by many lengths. Maybe there's something to this ?
