**RDSS Update V 0.99.1 & 0.99.2**

Hello Folks,

I have released an update to RDSS, Version 0.99.1 (and see also post #2 below re Version 0.99.2). The only change included in this update is to provide for a new track code: PRX for Parx Racing at Philadelphia Park. In their (inscrutable) wisdom, the new owners of Philadelphia Park have changed the track code from PHA to PRX. You need this new software update to access Philly cards (i.e. PRX cards) after January 1, 2011, or to display pacelines in Past Performances run in 2011 at Parx at Philadelphia.

The first time you run RDSS V 0.99.1, you will see the following message when the software loads. After the first time, the message no longer appears:

Name: prx-msg.jpg
Views: 2148
Size: 13.6 KB

Data files with the new PRX track code will not show up in the RDSS Data Centre All Tracks list, however, until January 2011 Philly cards are available from TrackMaster. When it does, edit the name to read Parx (or whatever you like), and add it to your Selected Track list if you work Philly. For the rest of 2010, Philly's track code is still PHA.

This means we will start to see horses with both PHA and PRX track codes in their PPs - but it's the same track (Philadelphia). Madness, if you ask my opinion.

I have also added a method so that if some track management out there gets the wise idea of adding or more likely changing yet another track code (shades of OTH for Oaktree at Hollywood), I won't have to release a software update just for that. I really have no intention of updating the current version of RDSS again - RDSS 2.0 is getting closer and closer to reality.

Registered RDSS users can download the update in the RDSS Download Area (login, if asked).
