The only good thing about this race was that Bill V. won $1.70 in the daily double. That sure beats losing a win/place bet.

Actually, I was not too optimistic as to my outcome in this race.

Playing longshots (ML 20-1) are a game of patience and waiting.
My horse went off at 33-1 and showed speed before the stretch drive and then gave way. He could not hold the lead after the 3/4 mark.
