A horse not to be overlooked ran yesterday on the Meydan racecourse by the name of Plus Que Parfait. A US horse that shipped over who after 3 or 4 races put it all together to win a big race and get an enough points to get into the Ky. Derby.

The trainer said he finally put it all together and didn't like the La. FG tracks etc. Seems more like he found the hole card for the horse what ever it was. Big expense to ship over there to take a chance he may not like that track either.

However he ran a huge race coming from off the pace and splitting horses. Ran like a older horse. His final time was excellent as compared to older horses in the big 12 million race later on the card. He ran 1 3/16 or 9.5 F in 1:58.41 and the older horses ran 10 F the derby distance in 203:87, a 1/16 longer. A difference of 5.46 for a 1/16 F, 6 is pretty dam good.

3 yr. old's tend to be as fast as older horses but can't hold it as long and with Gr 1 types you see that in the stretch. As they mature (if remain sound and racing) they get that stamina in the stretch also.

Note: I could not find any Trakus internal of the race for comparison purposes.

Plus Que Parfait is definitely a horse to watch oy for but will have to overcome that shipping to & from Duabi and also running a big race or prove consistency. May be dismissed.
