How to Obtain RDSS (and get setup, and learn to win with it)
First, please read this entire post, including all the links to other posts or documents, and please also read the other posts in this RDSS Information Forum (e.g. the Tutorials, Pricing, etc). Then please send an email to support@SartinMethodology.com requesting access to the RDSS Download Forum. In your email, please state your real name and also your Pace and Cap User ID (please register here if not a Pace and Cap member). After you receive an email back confirming that you now have access to the RDSS software Download Forum (normally within an hour or so during the day, but maybe within 24 hours), please click on the following link: www.PaceandCap.com/rdssdownload Note: you must be a registered member of Pace and Cap in order to access this Forum. In the RDSS Download Forum, you will be asked to agree to the following RDSS Terms of Use: RDSS Terms of Use
RDSS Pricing (data and software subscription) You buy data for use with RDSS from TrackMaster (an Equibase company). The data is customized for use with RDSS and can't be used with other software (although RDSS can export a data file for use with Speculator and Validator). You use the RDSS software itself (the RDSS Data Centre module) to download the data from TrackMaster - you don't download data via your browser. You can download either Past Performance data only, or Past Performances plus Result Charts data. If you wish to switch between these two data plans, just sign up for both and tell RDSS which type of data you wish to download. (Note: please read this description of the limitations using PP+Charts data in the current version of RDSS, here) Here's the TrackMaster link to sign up for RDSS Past Performance data only: https://www.trackmaster.com/cgi-bin/register.cgi?rdp If you already have a TrackMaster or Equibase account, just use the form to add RDSS data to your list of TrackMaster data subscriptions. (Note: if you buy 20 cards/month, the price per card is the same as the traditional TMPP files used by Validator and Speculator: $1.50/card) Here's the TrackMaster link to sign up for RDSS Past Performance plus Result Chart data (aka 'the Bundle'): https://www.trackmaster.com/cgi-bin/register.cgi?rdb (Note: if you buy unlimited Past Performances plus Result Charts, the cost is significantly cheaper than buying even Result Charts alone from TrackMaster.) A note about TrackMaster's billing method: if you choose Regular or Unlimited plans, you are re-billed automatically each period (e.g. monthly) on the day of the month when you signed up, until you cancel it. If you are evaluating the software for 30 days and signed up for a monthly package, and you intend not to continue, don't forget to cancel your TrackMaster data subscription. Note: in order to register RDSS and download data, you must first set up a RDSS TrackMaster data account. If you need assistance with your TrackMaster account, or have questions about pricing or how to fill out the web form, you can always call TrackMaster Customer Service at 1 800 334-3800 (8am - 6pm PST) and tell them you need to set up an account for RDSS data. (Jim, Jerry, Greg, Craig, et al - friendly folks!) There is an annual software subscription fee of US$100 for using RDSS, paid to Knowledge Management Systems, Inc. via VISA, MasterCard, Amex, PayPal or personal check - here. You may first evaluate the RDSS software for free for 30 days. During that period (or any time you like) you can also download a free demo database containing one week of recent Past Performances from every track in the country currently running, to help in your evaluation, and/or you can download current data from TrackMaster. If you wish to continue using RDSS with new, current races past the 30 day evaluation period, you pay the annual subscription fee (you can use it with the demo races as long as you like ). If you subscribe to an Unlimited TrackMaster data plan for any 6 months during the year (i.e. not the Pay-as-you-go, not the 20 cards per month, but Unlimited) then you don't need to pay the annual $100 software subscription fee. When you are ready, please click on the Pay Now button below to make a one time US$100 payment for the annual RDSS software subscription fee. This will extend your RDSS Account Expiry Date by 12 months. You will be contacted again when it is time to renew. You may also pay by personal check. Please send me an email for the postal address.
