AQU December 14
First race
I'm usually alone here on Sunday afternoons, but if anyone is paying attention, but let's see what happens on the last day before the holiday break. Andy Sterling and I agree here it appears, I've got the race down to the 7 and 2B entrants. |

Did you collect on the 9? I had it as my third choice also. We'll never know about the 2B as it was compromised at the break.
If I go for anything in the second, it will be the 8, but it looks like a field of career maidens so I'll probably pass. |

Not to redboard, but I did catch the third race winner, but then again, so did everyone at the track.
The fourth is a puzzler, as bottom levelers tend to be. A weak nod for the 3 horse, but I'll likely just make it a mental bet. |

Glad I stayed out of that one.
On to the fifth - this is my kind of race. I've got two longshots on top, the 2 and the 7, with the 9 right behind them. I'd rather tear up two 10/1 bets than chase a 3/5. |

Sixth race is a puzzler, the second call maidens angle gives it to 7 and 9, but the track seems to be playing late today if one wishes to perceive a bias. I do. The LP scores give it to 4 and 6. I'll ponder this further, but will most likely pass. EDITED TO ADD I went with the 7 and 9, but only as action bets, not prime wagers. Last edited by clore1030; 12-14-2008 at 02:45 PM. |

OK, that worked out fine.
The seventh is an "awesome" race. Took the 1 and the 5, thinking the speed will falter. Again, just action bets. |

Speed did falter, so did i, I picked the wrong one(s) to pick up the pieces.
Nice thing about Sundays are that I get to make my mistakes in public and no one sees them. In the eighth, I thought I'd get a price on the 8, but it's 2/1 while the ML was 8/1. But I also like the 1 who is 16/1. EDITED TO ADD Will they take the winner down and give me my 16/1 shot? |

Nope, the winner of the eighth stood.
Oh well, maybe my last bet for the next 11 days is coming up in the nightcap. Taking the 1 and the |
