Racing at Mountaineer
Does anyone know ?
Is there still a Grandstand to watch the races ? rumor has it ... it has been absorbed by the Casino. melvaruth |

no, the casino is another building called the "speakeasy' the track has the poker room which did take up alot of the ground/track floor. there is still the room on the 1st that is a "sportsbook" look. and on the 2nd floor long tables w/ many tv's. there are slots on the 2nd floor BUT last time i was there they only opened on weekends. i'm sure the clubhouse and grandstand are there.
plus outside has a pinic area and benchs. i was down there for the WVA derby the year MIND THAT BIRD won the k derby, but not since. unless they remodeled... ask over @ www.paceadvantage.com the color analyst "mark" is on that board as "Mountainman" Rverge
