Blocked by Macdonalds

I cant imagine why

For years I have been going to the MacDonalds down the street early in the a.m
I am not allowed to eat any thing on the menu anymore. But I like to get a small coffee.

I download all my tracks there , They have free WiFi,

For the last week Pace and Cap has been blocked.
When I try to go onto Pace and Cap it says " for the cuuritsy of our guest this site is blocked

I guess Ronald McDonald is not into friends helping friends win

I have had similar problems with other sites on "free" wi-fi. The common thread is that they are blocking anything having to do with gambling.

While I now make a practice of NEVER using public wifi sites, I use my phone as wireless hotspot for my computer PLUS a VPN (PureVPN).

If you use a VPN anyway whether you use McDonalds or other free wifi or your own phone - the site you are connecting to is UNKNOWN to the host. Plus no nefarious hackers camping out at free wifi spots can collect your data on the free (and usually unencrypted) public wifi.

Please listen to Ted and never ever use a public Wi-Fi unless you have VPN. I use a Canadian company, tunnelbear.com, costs about $60/year for 5 devices.

Crazy

Things just get stranger

At dialysis, they have a private password protected wifi for the patients

it is super fast. Probably because they are on the same system as the hospital.

I can watch movies on the TCM app, I can download RDSS files, I can watch
anything on youtube, but Pace and Cap is blocked

Here is the stupidest part of this story.

Now that I have a TVG account, I can watch races live, I can bet races,
all from the dialysis WIFI. How crazy is it that I can watch and listen to
the TVG crew talk and promote gambling, I can make bets, I can download
data files, I can watch replays of races on Youtube, but I can't access Pace and Cap

Does not make sense,

Bill

More good reason to use a VPN, per some of the suggestions above. But good visualize you plugged into your dialysis/handicapping cockpit!

Thanks Ted, now I have it.

Taken from the military and similar to a green machine which scrambled communications to prevent being intercepted by the enemy. Note the green machine was an early embryo dating back 1970 and prior.

All this has evolved since then as chain blocking and some other things are in the future, to be implemented by the military first , then banking and trickling down from there. While it may appear we're standing still to foreign hacking , we're not.
