I remember Marion from the paceline tapes. He had many interesting insights into pace handicapping. After all these years one of my favorites was the early horse who had the lowest median energy in the field. These horses are very formidable contenders. I even remember the example he gave which was a stakes winning grass horse named Journalism.

Very Sad to hear this. I remember him from seminars, dinners, and holiday parties. The Sartin family sends their condolences to the Jones family.
