I said doc it's only a scratch
Hello Pace and cap friends
I am back, I had to spend 2.5 days in the hospital, What started as an itch on my forearm turned into an emergency room than 2.5 days in a hospital bed. My whole life I have heard the warning... Don't scratch !! you will get an infection, I never thought it would happen. Well now I am home but I came close, That scratch was very close to my access, which leads right into my heart I have a big infected area of about 2 inches square on my arm, I also have a blood clot which caused the hospital stay. I have to be extra careful to keep my arms and hands clean. It all started with a little scratch " Doc said rocky you met your match I said doc it's only a scratch, and I'll be better Doc as soon as I am able" Rocky Raccoon the Beatles Last edited by Bill V.; 05-22-2019 at 04:38 PM. |

Sounds like you developed cellulitis which can be deadly if you don't watch it. The quickest symptom is that the area gets deep red and is very warm to the touch. Did they give you IV antibiotics or oral Doxycycline?
