Daily Double Formulas

Yesterday, I had the good fortune to hit a couple of daily doubles that helped pad the bankroll for our Saratoga trip. The daily double is one of Mitch's favorite bets and it has become one of mine, too. Catch a couple of prices and it will cover your action for days if not weeks.

The following was taken from Tom Walters' fine book "Exotic Wagering Formulas" about daily double bets. It's been out of print for years but it would make a good addition to anyone's library if you can find a copy. I don't think Tom would mind me posting these formulas because, as he states in the book, he got them elsewhere.

Thanks Mick. I think it is important to avoid wheeling and boxing. I feel if you don't have an opinion on the race, you should not be betting it.

Montana Mick:

I'm well aware of this concept and its very sound advice. I have never believed in boxing as it says your 4tth choice (in a 4 horse box) has as much chance as your 1st choice. If properly handicapped this just can't be possible. Great advice Mick, I'll send you the orginal.

Thanks for sharing Mick.
The DD has always been one of my favorite bets.
Thanks again.
