Yes Tim
They made a real wise move a few years ago moving the big race. For years they ran the PA Derby on Labor day Monday Lots of full fields now Can the PA derby become a major prep for the breeders cup ? Bill |

Why not. Horses still have enough time to recoup for the BC.

Just got the PP today. I'll manually shake it up tonight and see what I come up with. I agree, there is just the right amount of time for horse's running schedule from now til Breeders Cup.
Also just started my 30 evaluation days, so I'm busy working at the races/threads you guys posted eons ago.

Can't use the RDSS for this one, but looking at the form I used nothing further back than line 2, with distance and surface as the preference. Also leaned hard on past tandem matchups and those results.
I got a little confused trying to assign favored running styles for some of the entries, but ended up with the idea Will Take Charge will attempt to repeat his last out in style, in which case I see the early battle between 7, 3, AND 2. Also think the 6 could be involved early. By 2nd to 3rd call I'm guessing all but 1,2,&7 will be eating some dust. Moreno may put up a stretch challenge, but he may have a lot of ground to make up. My contenders for top spot are the 1 and 7. Just for fun I'll pick the 1 Transparent on value, hunch, and the fact that despite positive results for WTC he has had trouble 4 of his last 5 starts. Paint your picture...

The clock is ticking...
FTL is stuck with being on the Moreno bandwagon in this one, unless he, like me, finds Transparent and/or Speak Logistics interesting. Must admit to being as much, or even more, interested in the Cotillion. Love working with the fillies. They try so hard for you. Bill, I worked the Apr 14 Parx card last night. Did it on a win only basis, but adopted the 2 horse W strategy. My own selections (where I overrode RDSS suggestion) only produced 2 winners. But when using the RDSS top horse as the second W selection I ended up with 5W of the 9 race card.

Grade 1 and $million race at nine furlongs..
I narrowed ny contenders down to Will Take Charge, Fury Kapcori, Javas War, and Transparent.. What happened to Moreno?? What stands out in this matchup is the lack of true grade one pace....most entrants are coming off the slow early pace of the Travers... This race is riped for a horse to force a faster early pace... My contenders are Fury Kapcori and Javas War. Fury Kapcori prep the last two races and hasn't fired his best effort yet..nice developing horse..he came in second to Violence who came back to run the best energy race in the Fountain of Youth even though he lost to Orb...anyways..my two cents... Good skills.. |
