Hi Guys,

I don't know 1/100th of what Shoe, Pino, Alydar David, Parts, Bill V., Ted and others do about Synergism2. However, I have begun using it with the adjusted ratings (I'm one of the lazy ones Shoe<g>), and have been pretty pleased with the results thus far. I find the FW ratings somewhat mirror the order in RDSS BL/BL, but the DR ratings bring something extra to the mix.

Hope you guys have a good day at the races today! I have been enjoying these threads on this old program. Kudos to Ted for providing an export.

Race 1 Mth Adjusted

The 3 wins at $19.00

This time both raw and adjusted have the winner in the top 2 FW
so this is a tie

Jim,

Even though you are just starting to use it Im sure you know just
as much as me.

It's good to hear all these postive reports about people doing well
with Syn using the RDSS export. It seems like Ted has come up with
a winner here.

My comment about being lazy was a bit too strong.Actually I punch
in numbers all day on my job so getting a bit tired doing it also I think
Im starting to get carpel tunnel.

Cant really afford using RDSS at this juncture so have to stick with
$1 bris files for now.

Hi Jeff,

Oh I took no offense whatsoever. In fact I agree. I just cannot stand to input data at this juncture in my life. I have been downloading and using the program(s) to just crunch numbers for too many years to go back. I use my time plotting my wagering and carefully observing what seems to be working at the various tracks I watch during the day when I have time.

I am sure I am using RDSS and Synergism incorrectly but as long as my observations work for me, I carry on marching to my own tune. I am sure I would drive Bill V. crazy if he saw my work with the Sartin programs. Although I am sure we would agree to Let it Ride.

Little redboard, caught a nice $17 horse just now at Sar in the first. Top LP in a turf race. I always play a little on them in turf routes when at a price. I do things little differently, but I love this board and appreciate all the work that has gone into it.

Jeff, you and Bill keep showing examples. It really helps me learn.

Jim

The topic of this thread as I understand it was that Syn 2 was best used as
in the manual

There are a few parts of syn 2 that need some hand input
First is the question about shippers.
Next is the track record or 3 year best time.
Last is the set up times .

This test is to see if doing these vital steps makes a difference
over just sending adjusted data from RDSS

I am doing this because If the test holds up I believe as Shoe pointed out
Doing all the seps will out preform just sending the adjusted numbers
from RDSS. If this holds up and is the case , Then Ted will have a valid reason to invest his time into working a way that the set up time, shipper and 3 year best- track record can also be
auto entered.

A problem with testing the readouts from 2 different methods is there are quite a few readouts to compare on SYN 2
For the test I will just go with the top 2 FW and the top 2 DR

so far Jeff's suggested method is 4 for 4
