Match-Up and Energy
Richie, have you been finding that your Variegate Predictors and Paragons been more accurate when applying the Match-Up concepts when using Energy.
Also was wondering if you are entering less horses in the Energy program since using the Match-Up. |

Sorry about posting in the Speculator area about an Energy question. I was just trying to follow Richie's post and did want to start a new thread in this one instance.

I am not teaching anyone anything. Guys like Hat, Gary, Peter E and yourself. These are the real knowledgable fellows with this **** man. This is really a trip what Jim has laid out man. The BIGGEST difference in my results Mike come DIRECTLY from using Jim's FIRST way in projecting the pace. Before I was using his 2nd method to use the most recent fastest pace where a horse was close to it and use that. MY results were disasterous as most could plainly see by my many futile attempts at working races using Energy. Since he laid out his first way of projecting the race pace my results turned IMMEDIATELY 180 degrees for the good. I will have the things you sent me back in the mail to you Monday AM ok? THIS is what has turned things around for me. Jim's words directly from his 5 step approach: " There are two ways to project pace. 1. First, decide the horse that is likely to take the lead. In picking the horse that is going to take the lead, find a horse that has truly been in the lead at the first call. In the event none of the horses definitely had the lead, use a time where a horse tried for the lead or was up close. Next, find a horse that was in the lead at the second call. Use the same procedure explained in finding the first call. Next, find a final time that matches the first two calls, and you have the projected pace of today's race. Never add beaten lengths to any of the fractional calls. Horses that do not match today's pace are will have difficulty winning." Richie Last edited by RichieP; 05-19-2006 at 06:47 AM. |

This is crazy man. Watch this.
Simply matching pacelines based on Hat's 1st way of projecting pace and going to ONE screen on Spec. the matchup with computed beaten lenghts. Doing NOTHING else. last 2 days. winner is the # 8 - $ 8.80 |
