Greetings from South Africa

Hi to everybody. My name is Johan and I live in Pretoria, the capitol of South Africa. I am 56 and passionate about racing since I was a kid. Have read all the greats......Beyer,Brohamer,Mitchell,Cramer,Davidowitz,Quinn,Ainslie et al. Unfortunately no fractional timing available in my country so "conventional" handicapping is the order of the day. Ever since I first read about the Doc's strategy I dreamed about using it some day but alas, after about 25 years have gone, we still do not have sectional timing available. My gut feeling tells me that velocity ratings are far superior to speed figures and I have been practically drooling on my keyboard while reading the various threads on Pace and Cap.
At one stage ( for a very brief period ) they did offer betting on some USA racing but now it is limited to the very big race days only. The Belmont Stakes was televised live and I was so willing California Chrome on to win the Triple Crown. Even had a few bucks on him.
I have a question for the gurus on here: We have betting available on Hong Kong and Singapore racing. I have perused various websites and there is some fantastic information available including sectional timing at 200 metre ( 1 furlong ) intervals. If I subscribe to RDSS Will I be able to use it for HK and Singapore racing?
Thanks for the great site and keep well!

Groete Johan!

A pleasure to meet a longtime and devoted fan of the game! Glad you are having a great time studying everything contained here about the Sartin Methodology.

Alas, RDSS is not (currently) able to work Hong Kong racing - though I would love to work with someone serious who already uses the very detailed online data available for that, and for Singapore.

However, I can help you set up a wagering account for North American racing (and maybe even Cali Chrome's next race ). Please read --> THIS, then send me an email.

All the best!

Ted

Thanks for warm welcome Ted! Quite amazed that you are familiar with the term "groete" ( greetings in my native language ). Have just read the thread you referred to and I am very excited to say the least. Will be in touch shortly via email

Well, Google Translate is a wonderful thing I took a wild guess on 'groete' rather than 'imikhonzo' (Zulu) ...

cheers,

Ted

Lol. Well we have no less than 11 official languages in South Africa so the odds of greeting me in my own tongue is exactly 10 to 1. Well done!
