RDSS Video Tutorials & Seminars

Here's the video of the latest RDSS Online Seminar, sort of an introductory seminar (1 hour 20 minutes, 3 parts) from May 1, 2008:

http://www.artofpace.com/media/rdss_...r_20080501.wmv

This video is in WMV format. Just click above, then Run or Download the file and watch at your leisure.

We reviewed Data Centre operations, Configuration Settings (including Adjusteded versus Unadjusted settings, Powerline, Powermove and Layoff markups), Result Charts and Race videos, paceline selection, software navigation. We used the 2008 Kentucky Oaks as a backdrop.

Let me know how it works for everyone!

Ted

Example Races: Woodbine May 28, 2008

Here are some races at Woodbine, showing my basic approach to working with RDSS (not the only valid approach, of course, but one which will be familiar to those who have studied some of Doc Sartin's later writings in the Follow Up).

WMV Format: Click on links and Run or Download and watch at your leisure.

Queens Plate 2008

Here is a video in 2 parts describing my process in identifying the winner (and the Top 3 finishers) in the premier 3 year old stakes race in Canada, the 149th running of the Queens Plate.

The results was a happy, and generous one:

Sartin Methodology Factor Primer

Here is a mini-seminar we did on June 25, 2008 to review what some of the RDSS readouts mean, and how we progress from raw data, to adjusted data, to velocity, and then to the various compound factors.

In this Part 1, we made it as far as Velocity, maybe a bit further. For those of you who are new to Methodology terminology, this will help you understand where some of the numbers come from and what they mean. 90 minutes.

www.SartinMethodology.com/media/factor_primer1.wmv

In a subsequent Part 2, we will continue on past Velocity to the rest of the readouts used in RDSS, what exactly they are measuring, how they interrelate, confirm or oppose each other. Also how we can use the various measurements contextually in a consistent analysis approach.

Stay tuned!

Ted

Here's a video by Richie showing how to use the Version 0.98.8 Export to Excel feature to send Analysis data to an Excel file so it can be used in Factor Models:
