Belmont Stewards

If any of you know any of them, give them a big kiss from me!

How number 7 - Twenty Four Seven (Race 2) held the race after the objection I'll never know.

Same thinh

Same thing here. I thiught the 7 had a chance at a very good price. After watching the replay several times, i cannot believe that the 7 was not taken down. he obviously interfered with the 1 and the 3. Prior to that incident, he interfered with a different horse.

MOST of the time the crowd does not see all the stewards views.

Before I had access to all of them, I too was convinced things weren't a foul when another view plainly showed it was.

I think in this case though Tim it must have been Mr Magoo in the stewards room.

Or perhaps one of them had keyed the 7 in a killer super.....

Gandalf,

I wonder actually if the stewards perhaps took a pragmatic view of events. Whilst the 1 & 3 did suffer, there was no doubt that the 7 had the beating of them & quite clearly was coming with all the momentum.

It had been fractious at the gate too. Well done to Kendrick Carmouche for keeping it to its work. I'm sure he must have been wondering what he'd let himself in for with this horse!

The thing I like about our stewards is that they rotate regularly so that the same trio of stewards do not get stale.

These fellows are very open about their decisions when I ask them. Nice guys standardbred or thoroughbred.
