problems downloading
anyone else have problems downloading cards currently?
The Data Center has been trying to log on for over an hour now.... 1st download try since the update today??

Joe,
Try the direct link to the RDSS Cards webpage - can you reach it? Can you reach the main trackmaster.com website? I tried just now and got in first time (6:18pm EST). I'll run my server tests this evening and overnight just in case. Ted

Ted & Joe,
I downloaded RDSS for the first time a couple of hours ago and had no problems getting cards the first try. I went back and picked up the card for Santa Anita about 30 minutes ago. So far so good.. Pete |

You can't really do anything with the file you download at the moment. That page is really just a test that a given file exists and that you can download it somewhere with your UID and PWD. If you can do that, you should also be able to do it with the Data Center.
The fact that you can't is perplexing, especially since I've been able to access Trackmaster servers one per minute consistently over the past 1.5 hours... Email me and we can connect via GoToMeeting for tech support if you need to, or just reinstall the previous version and try your luck with that. However, there are some diagnostics I added to the current update which can provide some more information about internet connection... Ted

For the record, this was solved by uninstalling and reinstalling the full version of RDSS.
However, I suspect the problem was due (somehow) to an incorrect User ID and Password being used in the Data Center module (since Trackmaster was reachable during the same period by browser, and cards could be downloaded in a web browser using the correct UID and PWD). If anyone else runs into this, please try re-entering the UID and PWD in the Data Center, but also please let me know, as there should be a better error message than the one Joe got. That one (and the retry every 15 seconds) should be reserved only for when the TrackMaster website is truly unreachable by RDSS or by browser (which I think is working much better now). Ted

I'm suffering from this problem tonight Gone to RDSS card webpage and downloaded the file ok, even rebooted RDSS a couple of times, but still no joy i'm afraid
