PRX - 12/30 - Adios Keith Jones

Last day for announcer Keith Jones. Retiring after 34 years at Philly Park! His last race is a $5K claimer...non-winners of 2 in last 6 months. Not the greatest send off...but sums up 2020 fairly well...

Always thought he was one of the most underrated race callers. He got almost all of the photo finish call right. Rarely had to wait for the picture. Good luck with your picks. Looks like you are off to a good start.

Keith Jones Retiring after 34 years

Just a few minutes ago, Keith Jones called his last race after 34 years at the Philly track. Somehow, Bill Varone was in on that action today. He had to be. He talked and wrote about PARX all the time.

Here's a link to an article written about Keith Jones.

Yes !!! Our sport would be well served to have more like him in the booth.

Totally agree with you Tim!

Tom Durkin, Trevor Denman, and now Keith Jones. My 3 favorite announcers.

Great start having 7 of 8 winners in the top 4. Keith really got into his last call and fought off the tears. "Unbridledadventure is going to ROMP CITY TONIGHT!!!" Such a fitting name to send someone off into retirement!
Happy 2021 to everyone!!

I came late to the Keith Jones show. He was an acquired taste for me, but I really enjoyed him for the last few years. Hope he has a great retirement.
