Chazz,

Look in the RDSS folder for a file named REGDLL.BAT (or it might show as REGDLL of file type 'Windows Batch File'). Make sure RDSS is not running. Double-click on this file. You'll get a few notes about what it's for, then if successful, a message: 'DLLRegisterServer in xceedzip.dll succeeded.'

Somehow, either if this is a new installation of RDSS (e.g. on a new computer), or if something unkown about your Windows setup has changed for your current RDSS installation - either way, the ZIP file routines have not been correctly installed during the normal RDSS install process. This little program mentioned above does a manual install of the ZIP routines - and usually does the trick.

If you don't get that success message or if RDSS still doesn't load properly, I suggest you uninstall the whole software, reboot the computer and try again.

This is Windows XP, right?

Let me know how it works out.

Ted

Problem

Hi Ted:
I double clicked on the Regdll and I got the following statement 'DLLRegisterServer in xceedzip.dll succeeded.'
but when I tried the program I got the same message as before.

Where do I find RDSS to download, after I uninstall what is on my computer. I am using windows xp.

Ted:
I uninstalled RDSS and tried to restore it from external
backup but that didn't do any better. I got the following, when I clicked on RDSS

Chazz,

Just to follow up on this thread. Looks like some device drivers you recently installed interfered with the ZIP routines (don't know how/why). When you removed those recent drivers (possibly unnecessarily), and uninstalled and installed RDSS anew, everything works fine again and you're back in business.

(Just for those who may experience the same issue.)

Ted
